Julie Garcia
Vice President of Preconstruction - Kitchell

Julie is the Vice President of Preconstruction for Kitchell Contractors, overseeing the preconstruction and estimating efforts of more than $500 million in annual revenue covering Arizona, California and Texas. Based here in Phoenix, Arizona Julie has been with Kitchell since 2004 after graduating from Arizona State University with a bachelor's in Construction Management. Julie has led more than $2 billion worth of preconstruction projects during her tenure, including Phoenix Children's Hospital, UC San Diego Jacobs Medical Center (the first integrated IPD project in Kitchell's storied history), the University of Arizona Health Sciences Innovation Building and Valleywise Health Medical Center. Julie is an industry advocate in Design-Build and holds a DBIA professional accreditation along with the prestigious Phoenix Business Journal 40 under 40 designation. In her "free" time, she serves on the board of the of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and is the proud mother of four children.

Russ Korcuska
Senior VP of Construction & Special Projects - Phoenix Children's Hospital

Russ Korcuska is Senior Vice President of Construction and Special Projects at Phoenix Children’s. An innovative and results-driven healthcare leader, Korcuska focuses on achieving strategic and tactical objectives across complex structures within the healthcare system. With more than 30 years of experience in building design, construction and development, he is committed to driving value, optimizing processes, reducing costs, and building relationships. As the SVP of Construction and Special Projects, Korcuska is responsible for facility planning, design, construction, activation, medical equipment planning, real estate and facility maintenance/operations. Prior to joining Phoenix Children’s, Korcuska served as Vice President, Capital Construction and Engineering and as Interim Vice President, Supply Chain with Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston, Texas. There, he led system design and construction, facility engineering, security, environmental services, food/nutrition services, purchasing, material management and clinical engineering/asset management, for 14 acute care campuses and over 200 leased ambulatory locations. He also served as Vice President, National Projects Group for Kitchell Contractors where he was responsible for leading and delivering projects from Washington State to Indiana focused on healthcare, Native American and higher education markets. At Kitchell, he served as project executive during the construction of Phoenix Children’s main hospital campus and emergency department expansion. Korcuska earned a bachelor’s in construction engineering from Arizona State University. He is an American Society of Healthcare Engineering Certified Healthcare Constructor and certified professional constructor (CPC), the highest level of certification offered by the American Institute of Constructors.

Edward Willard
Strategic Planning - Dignity Health

Ed Willard is Director of Strategy and Business Development at Dignity Health, Central and West Valley Market. An analytical and strategically-focused leader with more than 15 years of experience in strategic consulting across various health care entities, throughout the United States including hospital systems, pharmaceutical, laboratory and medical device companies, he specializes in creative approaches towards development that are based on data driven market analysis. As the Director of Strategy and Business Development, Ed is responsible for internal and external based strategies within St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Westgate Medical Center, Dignity Health Cancer Institute, and Arizona General Hospital - Laveen markets that drive pathways towards service line gap assessments and growth, capital planning, and physician integration. Prior to Dignity Health, Ed was a consultant for a healthcare data company and was at the forefront in designing and bringing new data driven solutions revolutionizing how hospitals look at their individual markets and strategic planning processes.
