Amy Malloy
Managing Principal, Evolve Ventures, LLC
Amy Malloy started the real estate development and advisory company Evolve Ventures, LLC with her business partner Heather Personne in 2019. In the four years since its inception, Evolve Ventures has worked with over 30 developers, municipalities, landowners, tenants, and brokers to bring a wide array of commercial and residential projects to fruition. Additionally, Evolve has begun development of its own with two urban infill multi-family projects in the heart of Midtown Phoenix and Downtown Chandler.
Prior to creating her own company, Malloy worked as Vice President of Development for the Pederson Group, where she managed and oversaw development activity throughout Arizona. Prior to joining the Pederson Group, Malloy worked at Evergreen Development, managing retail development and redevelopment projects throughout Arizona, California, and Colorado. Prior to Evergreen, Malloy was Assistant Vice President of Development at Macerich.
Malloy is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and serves as current Chair of the Infill Redevelopment Local Product Council and has previously served as Chair on the Arizona District Council’s 2020 Trends Day Committee, Vice-Chair of the 2018-2019 Trends Day Committee for Arizona’s ULI District Council, and Chair of the AZ-Technical Assistance Panel (AZ-Tap) Committee from 2017-2019.
Malloy holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Malloy is a proud West Valley resident and third generation Arizonan, and she has two human children Madeleine and Brendan, and two canine children, Maggie and Winnie, with her husband John.

Walt Brown Jr. is the Founder, CEO and Designated Broker of Diversified Partners, LLC, a real estate brokerage and development company based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Walt began his career in commercial real estate in California in 1990 where he focused on learning and understanding the real estate business while creating valuable relationships through his positions with Terranomics Retail Services (San Francisco & Newport Beach) and then Mahler & Company (Beverly Hills). In 1992, Walt moved from California to Arizona and further expanded his real estate knowledge and contact base as a commercial agent at Core-Jackson, Oncor International (Phoenix). In 1996, he founded Diversified Partners as a full service commercial real estate brokerage company. Over the years, Walt’s passion, executive oversight and “big picture” mentality have contributed to Diversified Partners evolving into one of the leading Development and Brokerage firms in Arizona.
Walt’s significant experience in all aspects of the commercial real estate industry for the last thirty-three years has led to a wide range of successes. Together with past and present partners, he has leased, sold, and/or developed more than 5,000 commercial properties and more than 12 million square feet of retail properties located throughout the country. From this he has established quality and long lasting relationships with national credit tenants such as LA Fitness, Starbucks, In-N-Out Burger, WalMart and Home Depot, multiple banks and financial institutions, public/private REIT’s, and numerous major brokerage firms across the United States.

Angie Grendahl
Director of Development - SW Region, Thompson Thrift
Angie brings over 20 years of diverse real estate experience. She has managed development projects for retail, mixed-use, industrial, hospitality and luxury residential. Her current role is Director of Development, SW Region with Thompson Thrift. Prior to joining Thompson Thrift, Angie held roles as Director of Development & Construction for Replay Destinations at the Ascent at the Phoenician, SW Development Manager for Evergreen Devco, Inc. and Assistant Director of Development & Construction for AWH Partners.
Angie holds a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) degree from W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Indiana University Northwest. She is a licensed real estate agent. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute where she serves as Chair of the Arizona Technical Assistance Panel (AzTAP).

SimonCRE has completed over 274 projects across 22 states, equaling a total value of more than $713 million. The company has over 30 projects planned for 2023, totaling more than $400 million in construction.
Joshua founded the national commercial real estate company in 2010 and is a hands-on leader when it comes to projects that will benefit clients and the communities they serve. SimonCRE specializes in the acquisition and development of a range of properties, from single-tenant build to
suit net lease properties to newsworthy power centers. The firm has cultivated a diverse portfolio of retail, medical office, RV storage, and alternate-use projects. Joshua applies his boundless energy toward supporting and giving back to the industry he loves. He has served on a
number of boards and routinely presents as an industry expert at conferences like ULI Deep Dive and ICSC Next Generation, as well as forums for AZRE and Bisnow, among others.
