Christine Mackay

Community and Economic Development Director | City of Phoenix - MODERATOR

Christine is the Community and Economic Development Director with the City of Phoenix. She is responsible for leading the Business Development Team, including the areas of business attraction, business retention and expansion, small business and entrepreneurial efforts, downtown development, international, retail and workforce development. During the past five years, she has helped locate or expand more than 180 companies into the Region, brought more than 26,000 jobs, added nearly 5 million square feet to the industrial/office base and brought more than $7 billion in capital investment into the community. In 2016, Christine was named the Economic Developer of the Year, by the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED).

Carl Beardsley

Senior Director-Capital Markets Group, JLL

Carl is a Senior Director in the Capital Markets Group for Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) where he focuses directly in the data center space. He works with investors, operators, developers, and end-users with a variety of services such as site selection, acquisition, disposition, debt & equity placement, leasing, and colocation strategies. His well-developed technical knowledge of real estate process gives him a broad understanding of the important principles that must be incorporated into any transaction. Carl started at JLL in 2016 with a background in the specialty finance sector. He brings over ten years of experience in commercial real estate and structured finance. He holds an active real estate license in the state of Arizona, a debt origination license in the state of Arizona and a debt origination license in the state of Nevada.

Chad Buck

Senior Vice President, Sundt Construction

Chad brings over 20 years of industry experience to his new role as Senior Vice President of the Building Group at Sundt. Before joining the Building Group, Buck most recently served as Senior Vice President for the company’s Industrial Group. Buck earned his bachelor’s degree in construction management from Northern Arizona University and a master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University. He is a member of the Arizona Builders’ Alliance Leadership Development community, the American Society of Professional Estimators, the Design-Build Institute of America, and the United States Green Building Council. He is also a Design-Build Professional, a Certified Professional Constructor and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Terry Rucker

Principal, Farnsworth Group

Terry is a principal at Farnsworth Group with over 38 years of experience in the architectural profession, with project experience in commercial, industrial, advanced manufacturing, semi-conductor, retail developments, higher education, municipal, and recreational project types. As a principal at Farnsworth Group, he oversees the western region architectural group, including approximately 30 architects residing in offices within Phoenix, Denver, Fort Collins, and Des Moines. Terry is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Registration Boards and holds licenses in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, New York, Nevada, and Montana. Terry earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Texas Tech University. His success as an architect leans on the premise that good design requires a balance of quality architectural design, schedule and budgetary adherence, efficient teamwork, and, most importantly, listening to and meeting the ultimate expectations of the client. His expertise in project and resource management, coupled with his dedication to unmatched client service, has resulted in maintaining solid client relationships for over 20 years.
